President’s Message for 2023

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Greetings and Happy New Year! I would like to say thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve as your President of the Nassau County Police Emerald Society. The returning Executive Board and I are ready to continue the tradition and excellence of our predecessors and reach even greater levels of success in 2025.
I have been a member of our organization since 2016 and have served on the Executive Board as Sergeant at Arms, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and now President.
Our Society was founded in 1963, and we are the largest Police fraternal organization within Nassau County. We encompass members from the Nassau County Police Department, all Villages, State and other local law enforcement agencies who work within Nassau County. Our goal is to promote Irish heritage in law enforcement and support charitable and cultural causes. We are a charter member of the Easter Monday Monument Committee, members of the Grand Council of United Emerald Societies and a charter member of the National Conference of Law Enforcement Emerald Societies.
In 2025 we will continue to host many events which have grown each and every year. In March we participate in the NYC Saint Patrick’s Day Parade Monday March 17,2025, as well as the Wantagh Saint Patrick’s Day Parade on March 16th. Each May we depart for Washington D.C. to attend Police Memorial Week and the NCLEES meeting. Attached is our Annual 50/50 Raffle/Fundraiser.
The strength of our organization comes from you, our members and your support and participation. Please return your $40 membership dues at your earliest convenience. For cost saving purposes we will not be sending out a mailing to each member. Attached to the letter is our Venmo or you can still send a check Via U.S. Postal service. Please put your personal email in the comments of the Venmo.
We have experienced an influx of many new members and hope this trend continues. Let everyone in your command know they are always welcome to join us (first year dues are waived) and become part of our growing family. Our monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month, at the Irish Poet at 8pm.
The Executive Board is grateful for the opportunity to represent you. We hope to see you at our upcoming events. See the attached second page list of our upcoming events.
Fraternally,
President- Casey Quinn
