Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I am honored and truly humbled to be reaching out to you as the incoming President of the Police Emerald Society of Nassau County. I have been a member since 2004 and have been on the executive board since 2014. I hope to maintain the high standards set by my predecessors and improve and advance our organization in all areas.

Our job is getting younger and younger and our incoming Board of Officers reflect this shift as well. They are an energetic, hardworking and dedicated group that I am proud to serve with during the next two years.

Our society was founded in 1963 and we are the largest Police fraternal organization within Nassau County.  We encompass members from Nassau County Police, all the villages, State and other local law enforcement agencies who work in Nassau County.  Our goal is promote Irish heritage in law enforcement and support charitable and cultural causes.  We are a charter member of the Easter Monday Monument Committee,  members of the Grand Council of United Emerald Societies and a charter member of the National Conference of Law Enforcement Emerald Societies.

In 2019 we will continue to organize many events which have grown each and every year. In March we participate in the NYC Saint Patrick's Day Parade as well as the Farmingdale Saint Patrick's Day Parade. Each May we depart for Washington DC to attend Police Memorial Week and the NCLEES meeting. In April we will hold our 200 Club Raffle. May brings our Bi-Annual Installation Dinner Dance at the Crest Hollow Country Club. In the fall we will continue our newest tradition, our Shilelagh Law concert/fund raiser at Mulchahy's. In December we will host our annual Christmas Party.

The strength of our organization comes from you, our members and your support and participation. Please make your way to our Membership page and return your $25 dues at your earliest convenience. We have experienced an influx of many new members and hope this trend continues. Let everyone in your commands know they are always welcome to join us and become part of a growing family. Our monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month, upstairs at the Wantagh Inn at 8 PM.

The Executive Board is grateful for the opportunity to represent you. We hope to see you at our meetings and upcoming events.
