Dear Brother and Sister Members:
I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve as your President of the Police Emerald Society of Nassau County. For those of you who don't know me, I have been a member of the Emerald Society for the past 17 years. I have served as a member of the Executive Board since 2013 and have been the Dinner Dance Chairman for the past 6 years. I started my career in Law Enforcement with the New York State Park Police in 2003. In 2010 I changed departments and went to work for the Oyster Bay Cove Police Department. I come from a family with strong Irish roots on both sides. I take great pride in my Irish heritage which is why it's such an honor to be President of this great Society.
Our Society is the largest Fraternal Police Organization in Nassau County. It is made up of members from all different departments, ranging from Nassau County, Village, Sate, Federal and other local Police Departments. Our society's goals are to promote our Irish heritage, cultural traditions and to continue our profound Irish brotherhood within the Police profession. Our Society brings our friends and members together by hosting different events throughout the year. We have many great plans and ideas for the next two years but because of these unprecedented times we find ourselves in and the everchanging rules, a lot of our functions are up in the air. Please follow us on Facebook and check out our website at www.ncpdemerald.org for up to date information about our meetings and events. I am going to do my best to uphold and continue our events whenever possible. During my term as President it is my goal to bring more interest to our Society and attract new and existing members to participate in our functions. Our meetings are held every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 8pm.
Our 2021-2022 Executive Board is composed of a great group of professionals. I look forward to working with them all and I am thankful for their dedication to our Society.
1st Vice President-Timothy Rizzuto (NYS Park Police)
2nd Vice President - Scott McPhail (NCPD - BSO)

I would like to also acknowledge and thank the prior President, Tom Arcuri for all his hard work and time he put in as President. I wish him all the best and I look forward to his guidance as he moves on to his position on the Board of Directors.
I ask you all to please keep all your contact information current by updating any address changes, email and phone numbers so we can have a more up to date way to reach our members. The Irish have a very rich history of service in the Police profession. Be proud of your heritage and your profession. Stay safe and God Bless. I hope to see you all soon.
